USB 2.0 lockable
M25 panel feed-through with lockable USB-A socket and cylinder lock, nickel-plated brass housing.
This version differs from the standard USB 2.0 feed-through through genuine mechanical access protection. Unscrew the protective cap and you first find a cylinder lock that has to be opened with the key and taken out – only then is the USB-A socket exposed. Without the key, neither a storage medium nor any other device can be plugged in.
That is required wherever machines stand in freely accessible places and the USB port has to remain controlled for IT security reasons: the interface is available to authorised staff at any time, and simply not to anyone else. Because lock and locking mechanism need extra space, the mounting size is M25 instead of M20; housing in nickel-plated brass, protective cap in clear anodised aluminium, external lanyard fastening so the cap stays with the housing.

The lockable version can be secured against unauthorised or accidental plugging. It thus helps to impede manipulation via the connection of hardware at safety-relevant interfaces – one aspect of the "protection against corruption" under Annex III, 1.1.9 of the new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 (applicable from 20 January 2027).
Note: responsibility for the machine's conformity lies with the manufacturer. The lockable connector can support such a protective measure but does not replace your own risk assessment.

The lockable version is supplied in the standard lengths 500, 1000 and 2000 mm. Different lengths and connector combinations can be made on request.
